How to Use the shortube.pro Dashboard: A Complete Walkthrough

This guide walks you through every part of the shortube.pro dashboard so you can get to your first published Short as quickly as possible.

Creating a project

1. Click Create Shorts in the sidebar
2. Choose your input type:
- YouTube URL — paste any public YouTube video URL
- File Upload — upload an MP4, MOV or other video file
3. Give the project a name (optional — auto-generated from the video title if left blank)
4. Select a processing preset (Talking Head, Podcast, Webinar, etc.)
5. Click Create Project

Your project will move through the processing pipeline: Ingest → Transcribe → Analyze → Generate clips → Render → Generate metadata.

Reviewing clips

Once processing completes (5–15 minutes depending on video length), navigate to My Projects and open the project. You'll see:
- A list of generated clips with virality scores
- Preview thumbnails for each clip
- Generated title, description and hashtags per clip

Click any clip to preview it. Edit the metadata fields as needed.

Uploading to YouTube

Click Upload on any clip. Select your connected YouTube channel from the dropdown. Review the title, description and hashtags. Click Upload Now or set a scheduled time.

Scheduling

If you click Schedule Upload, a date/time picker appears. Set the target publish time and confirm. The Short will be automatically uploaded via the YouTube API at the scheduled time.

Integrations (YouTube channels)

Go to Integrations in the sidebar to connect YouTube accounts. Click Connect YouTube and complete the Google OAuth flow. Once connected, your channels appear in the upload dropdown.

Billing

Go to Billing to view your current plan, remaining credits and purchase options. All purchases are processed in INR via Cashfree.
