Privacy Policy

shortube.pro (“we”, “us”) is operated by Vardiano Technologies. This page explains what information we collect when you use shortube.pro, how we use it, and the choices you have. If anything here is unclear, email us at support@vardianotechnologies.com.

1. Information we collect

  • Account information. Your name, email, and profile photo when you sign in via Clerk (our authentication provider).
  • YouTube data. When you connect a YouTube channel, we receive an OAuth access & refresh token from Google plus the channel id, channel name, avatar, and subscriber/video counts. We never see your Google password.
  • Source videos and outputs. The video URL or file you submit, the audio extracted for transcription, the rendered short videos, captions, and thumbnails. Stored in our object storage (Cloudflare R2).
  • Transcripts. Sent to OpenAI Whisper for speech-to-text. The resulting text and word-level timing is stored on our database.
  • Payment metadata. Cashfree (our payment processor) tells us whether your purchase succeeded; the order id and our internal product key are stored on our side. We never see your full card number, UPI handle, or bank account number.
  • Operational logs. IP address, user-agent, and timestamps for security and abuse prevention. Retained 30 days.

2. How we use it

  • To provide the core service: ingest your videos, generate shorts, upload to your YouTube channel.
  • To bill you and reconcile payments via Cashfree.
  • To detect abuse and comply with legal obligations.
  • To send transactional emails (e.g. processing failure alerts). We do not send marketing email without your explicit opt-in.

3. Google API services & limited use

shortube.pro’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We only use YouTube tokens to upload videos you instruct us to upload, list channels you ask us to list, and read analytics for shorts you uploaded through us. We do not use this data for ads or sell it.

4. Storage & retention

  • Source videos and rendered shorts are kept on Cloudflare R2 while the project exists in your account. Deleting a project deletes those files within 24 hours.
  • OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM. Disconnecting your YouTube channel deletes the encrypted token immediately.
  • Payment records are retained for 7 years to satisfy Indian tax law (CGST/SGST audit requirements).

5. Sub-processors

  • Clerk — authentication.
  • Cloudflare R2 — object storage.
  • Neon — Postgres database (US-East).
  • Upstash / Railway — application hosting and Redis queue.
  • Vercel — web frontend hosting.
  • OpenAI — speech-to-text and clip-scoring (audio + transcript text only).
  • Google / YouTube — OAuth + upload destination.
  • Cashfree — payment processing (India).

6. Your rights

You may export, correct, or delete your data at any time from the Settings page, or by emailing support@vardianotechnologies.com. We respond to verified requests within 30 days. Indian users have additional rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 (DPDP), including the right to withdraw consent at any time.

7. Children

shortube.pro is not intended for users under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Changes

If we make material changes to this policy, we’ll email registered users at least 30 days before the change takes effect.
